The KC Originals Chef Lecture Series

Broadmoor Technical Center has partnered with the James Beard Foundation in continuing the “KC Originals/James Beard Chef Lecture Series.” Each year we will be soliciting the nation’s top James Beard chefs inviting them to participate in our lecture/mentoring program.

The next visiting chef will be on January 24. The Bistro welcomes Executive Chef and owner of The Liberty in Charlotte,NC - Chef Tom Condron.

Scholarships awarded to Students
The James Beard Foundation and The Cliff Bath Excellence in Restaurant Hospitality Scholarship have made awards to two Broadmoor students.

Video Spotlight on Broadmoor Bistro


Enjoy choices of pies, tarts, cookies and cakes during Broadmoor Baking Fridays. Certain Fridays of the month the students will be selling the products of their lessons that they’ve made in their classes at Broadmoor. All Broadmoor Baking Fridays begin at 2:30 in the Broadmoor foyer. The dates for the 2011-12 academic year are January 27, February 17, March 23 and April 13. Click HERE to see the current Baking Friday offerings. We must insist that credit cards are preferred and NO CASH will be accepted for these purchases. This is experience-based learning.
